I hardly know where to start with the Gaultier exhibit. Now, I’ve been to a few designer displays here including the Yves Saint Laurant and the Balenciaga collections, but this one by far is the most breath taking.

A fashion couture and visual feast. Inspiration overload.

I went paparazzi crazy with my IPhone as everywhere I turned there was such beautiful art I couldn’t peel my eyes away. His garments pushed every boundary and genre I could imagine. Driving inspiration from all facets of life. From religious icons, the anatomical form to animal instincts.

This is the kind of fashion that engraves images in your mind and keeps you wanting more.

His versatility is overwhelming. Touching from the punk street style all the way to the chic avant-garde looks. The attention to detail is impeccable. Even down to the tiniest embellishment was executed to the couture form.

Textures, colors, silhouettes and prints. They were all eclectically presented.

I could go on for days analyzing each garment.

If I had to sum it up in a few words they would be:

Dramatic, Captivating, and Innovative.

Gaultier is a true visionary. That kind that reminds us, the artistic power off fashion.

If you’re going to put something on , why not drape yourself in art.
