GAGA GOES TO DUBAI

This past week Lady Gaga kicked off her ArtRave tour in her first ever visit to the Middle East in Dubai.  A “dream come true” raved the artist.

Gaga showed tremendous love for her fans in the Middle East as she performed songs from her new ARTPOP album and of course her classics.

True to her iconic style, she did not disappoint in both her on stage wardrobe and street style ensembles, while respecting the Emirates’ conservative dress code.

 Lady Gaga’s most powerful fashion statement in Dubai? Her utmost respect for the Arab culture and customs. 

While she is known for her risqué costumes and performances, Gaga showed love and appreciation for her fans in the UAE by honoring their traditions.

Lady Gaga made sure to evolve her costumes and performances to ensure they honored the Arab traditions while still expressing her artistic creativity.  This is the true bridge between fashion and culture I ADORE.

“I will travel around Dubai to support young designers and see their clothes, as well as listening to local Dubai music and those sorts of things. Some people are from Dubai that will be working with my wardrobe department.” Gaga told the local magazine Ahlan!

During her free time in Dubai, Lady Gaga embraced the culture by wearing and local designed clothing, enjoying the local food, sites and activities including a henna and camel riding in the desert! 

All of which I intend to experience on my upcoming trip to Dubai this November!
