Describe your brand in 3 words.

Quirky, Colorful, Bold

Who is the Krazy Kaleido woman?

A Vivacious, non-judgmental woman with the soul of a vagabond.

What inspires you?

Nature and architecture, Perception of shapes within shapes, zoom – in of otherwise ordinary objects, possible/imaginary drama of things. Flow of things

What was the inspiration behind your latest collection?

The frivolous desire of young vibrant girls who always dream of running away from her boring life, to enjoy the imaginary wonders of the otherwise ordinary world. The possible comic drama that she creates around every new place she reaches looking at it with bewilderment of her own thoughtful imagination!!! The strong visual juxtaposition that she has built in her mind’s mirror stands starring in the eyes of the actual face of everything.

Which designers influence you?

  • Iris Van Herpen
  • Issey Miyake
  • Mary Katrantzou
  • Ana Ljubinkovic

How did you come to the name Krazy Kaleido?

I feel like the left side of my brain is a kaleidoscope of thoughts that are constantly shifting, shaping then again de-forming to reform into yet another colourful cascade, inspired by various forms and senses. Krazy Kaleido is the visual amalgamation of my ideas and emotions.

Which is your favorite piece in the collection?

The shift dress with pinup girls and a car, I like to call it the “fence sitter” dress...

What music do you listen to, while designing?

I listen to instrumental mostly, while working – “Kutumbh” (Nepali folk music), Indian flute performances, enigma……it keeps me focused

Who are you favorite bloggers?

  •  A shaded view on fashion by Diane Pernet
  • Atlantic pacific by Blair Eadie
  • The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman
  • Pink Peonies by Rachel Parcell

What is your favorite trend at the moment?

Checks & plaids and thigh high Slits

What is a style statement you can’t live without?

My rings – I hv them in every size and form and colour

What’s next?

Hopefully a collection quirky and creative statement jewellery.

What is your message to the world?

Enjoy for what its worth, for what we see is only what we want to perceive and there is no real truth, so pull your hair down and be Krazy!!!
